Jean Duran was an asshole.
That was the only thing Adam knew as he watched the alpha cuddle up to an omega freshman not a week after he’d denied him during his heat.
The freshman was named Luke and he could’ve been Adam’s doppelgänger if not for the pretentious clothes. He tried not to let it get to him as he kept the memory of two glorious nights in his car and two others in his dorm with Elias.
His ass still felt the aftermath even now and he felt kind of bad leaving it the way he had. But really what was he supposed to do with a fifty something year old alpha anyhow? Mate him?
Elias had a nice knot, he was funny and smelled nice but that was it. Adam didn’t need that attachment, and he most definitely did not need an alpha. He wasn’t two feet in the grave now was he?
The alpha did come with the glorious addition of being sterile, before finding this out Adam had freaked out and punched and punched the alpha in the jaw for possibly getting him pregnant. That hadn’t been very good form either and the tears that followed showed him just how odd of an alpha Elias was.
No he really didn’t need that.
Then why was he scenting Elias all over campus?
It was lingers of scent, like the alpha had just recently left wherever Adam had gotten to and he wasn’t about to ask anyone if they’d seen a fifty something year old man alpha wandering around. What if it was just after effects of sharing a heat?
Again these were all things he should be looking up or asking others about, but no one knew how very strange he was and he wanted to keep it that way.
He ignored the sight of Jean with that Luke and headed to his final class. Just outside of Lecter Hall Adam paused and closed his eyes as he was hit with a whiff of Elias.
It was strong this time, like he’d just left before Adam arrived. He saw others pass by and asked a beta girl.
“Did you see a strange alpha here earlier?”
“No. Sorry.”
Adam felt foolish to ask but shook it off, headed into Dr. Lecter’s class with his head high. The omega teacher was one of his favorites, the highlight of his curriculum really, and for the rest of the hour he planned on drowning in the man’s genius.
But his plans were short lived about fifteen minutes in when an ungodly yell reverberated through him and quite possibly the entire campus.
“What the hell was that?”
Adam felt a fear the likes of which he’d never known and shot up from his seat. He locked eyes with Dr. Lecter, the other omega seemed to understand as he fled up the stairs towards the sound.
The bag on his shoulder felt heavier than anything but he held on, rushed past those he saw as he ran toward the sounds that didn’t stop. He stopped when he found the source at campus security, breathless and frightened.
“Where?”
The officer behind the counter looked surprised to see him, shocked even, and Adam wanted to bite out his throat.
“You just lost me forty bucks. Damn.”

Prompt fill for @thisismydesignhannibal : Basic Chickens + Unexpected Romantic GestureAfter they file their cloning patent, Adam comes to interview Elias and his brothers.
When Adam Towers had come to the house to interview them about the cloning patent, Elias had been annoyed. The man was annoyingly attractive, beautiful even – certainly sure to turn people’s heads. His voice was annoyingly pleasant – the British accent sure to be a hit with the local ladies. And he was annoyingly interested in the what Franz had to say about the patent. In fact they spent all their time together.
Elias contented himself to kicking around the house, very subtle in his observations of the man who was to be their guest for a few days. The very annoying man.
Adam finally wanted to talk to him on the second day.
“I’m very busy! You’re very presumptive to think I would be available.” Elias scalded him for his rudeness.
Adam grinned. “Oh? I apologise. I only assumed as you spent all of yesterday tailing me.”
Elias flustered and protested. Adam laughed and then his features softened. He teased that maybe Elias was in some way interested in him. Preposterous, of course!
By the third evening, Adam sought him out as he fed the chickens. They talked for hours. Adam only laughed with him and not at him. He also stood annoyingly close and Elias finally had to excuse himself to privately relieve the problem this caused.
Two more days of questions for his brothers and free time spent with Elias until Adam, annoyingly, had to leave.
Elias walked him to out, wringing his hands. Anxious as he handed Adam a hastily wrapped gift. Adam looked surprised, then smiled as he opened it.
“You write a lot of notes. This is a nicer pen. Very durable.”
“That’s… really thoughtful. Thank you.”
“Perhaps you could also use it to write me letters.” Elias huffed.
Adam stepped close to him – annoyingly close – and then took his hand, scrawling numbers on it with the pen.
“My number.” Adam said, before pulling Elias into a kiss. Their bodies pressed together and Elias had to try annoyingly hard not to spend himself when Adam moaned into his mouth. Finally Adam pulled back, leaving Elias breathless and sweating with need. “Call me when you get to London.”
“I… I’m not going to London…” Elias replied, confused.
“Yes you are.” Adam grinned and stepped into the taxi.
Annoyingly, he was right.
#Hannictober day 5: scarves
#HannibalHalloween day 9a: scarves and hats
You say scarf, I hear Adam Towers, The Boy In The Green Scarf.
Now that I look at it as a whole, it doesn’t look much like a scarf, even a bloody one. But idgaf.
There was a very pretty cadaver in the morgue.
Elias had seen it plenty of times already in the past week though no one seemed to know the man with hardly his neck slit so far his head was nearly off him.
He’d been working in the lower levels only a few weeks when he’d seen the pretty man brought in and the orderlies hit his head on the door which made the sheet slip to reveal him.
Elias felt an odd pull and wanted to touch. He’d dropped his mop and picked it up quick just as the corpse was wheeled away. After that his hallway cleaning quickly branched off into quick “sweeps” of the empty morgue when he knew it would be quiet. After searching the drawers the first time he’d memorized drawer ten, the number faded just enough to still be seen.
The man with no name quickly began to turn colors but was no less beautiful in death than Elias guessed he had been in life. He would stand by the man and talk sometimes about just about anything while he ached to touch but didn’t knowing it would be wrong.
All of this was wrong.
A week passed before he was caught by the rude surgeon Chilton who brought in a woman who shrilly yelled at him for “tainting her Adam!” while Chilton said he’d be fired.
Elias burst into tears when the woman pushed him over and threw herself over the corpse, over Adam, kissing his cheeks like she had the right. He grabbed onto the drawer to stand and stumbled, catching himself on the body.
A jolt went through him and he nearly fell over.
Adam the dead man was his soulmate.
The woman hit Elias again and Chilton grabbed his arm roughly in an attempt to drag him off. He was nearly to the door when the woman screamed and a growl made both men look back.
Adam was up and had his hand around the woman’s neck, the snap as she fell the only sound besides the heavy pants from both men. He watched the body move, head lolling to the side before Adam stopped.
“Elias.”
His name was said hoarsely, almost in worship, and Elias stepped forward even before Adam did.
“Hello.”
Pretty Adam smiled and Elias met him the rest of the way, letting Adam put his hands on his face to stare. They were cold but Elias supposed he’d have to get used to that.
“Elias.”
“Are you insane? That monster is going to eat you!”
Elias turned to glare at Chilton. “He is no monster, he’s my soulmate.”
Chilton laughed. “You clearly are insane. I’m calling the…”
Elias looked at Adam again.
“Are you hungry? He’s trying to take me away from you.”
Adam practically vibrated when he growled. “Elias.”
“I do not want you to die again. Do you need help?”
Adam didn’t.
🎃 FOR HALLOWEEN MONTH 🎃
Have an Elias fighting his own demons in Silent Hill :3Adam huffed for breath, his beaten body shaking as he tried to steel himself for the next nightmarish part of the night. He heard nothing now from his hiding spot under a work table in the dark garage and he was grateful for the pause.
They shouldn’t have stopped.
He knew it now more than ever, the memories of his friends dying one by one playing again as he tried to think of a solution.
The Thanatos Brothers were brutal monsters, their cruelty only outweighed by their ugliness. He knew they weren’t all smart, ruled by Gabriel who hated just about everything including them.
He heard a sudden loud argument that cut through his thoughts and crawled further under the table. His fear rose when the garage door opened and slammed, followed by unfamiliar grumbling.
“…I am the MOST capable killer of all!”
Adam recognized the voice belonging to the only Thanatos brother who hadn’t killed any of his mates.
Elias.
The older man was quite large, a big brute of a thing and also a bit bullied by his brothers from what he’d seen tied up at dinner earlier.
He heard sniffles and a sudden loud bang of the table he sat under made him yelp out loud.
“Who’s there?”
Adam covered his mouth and felt tears in his eyes.
“I have a very big axe and I will very happily murder you with it!”
Adam moved his knees up and accidentally banged into the table leg. He whispered, “Please don’t,” just as Elias went on his knees.
The older man’s face were barely visible in the slice of moonlight that were the only light in the garage but Adam could see the large cut on his cheek. He shook the rolling pin in his hand.
“I’m going to murder you now.”
Adam shook his head.
“Please, we didn’t mean to touch the basement. The bloody car broke and—“
Elias grabbed his leg and Adam screamed as he was pulled out from hiding. He attempted to bite and Elias held him down.
“Shut up or I will murder you a whole lot!”
Adam burst out into laughter at the threat and his fear left him in such a rush he felt lightheaded.
“Why are you laughing? I’m very scary!”
“No you’re not,” he laughed, “Curly you’re about as frightening as a kitten in a costume.”
Elias’s frown almost made him feel bad. “I miss my kitten,” he suddenly sounded on the verge of tears, “His name was Jean. Gabriel tried to hurt him so I let Jean go.”
Adam sighed. “How long have they been so horrible to you?”
He sniffled. “Always. I don’t like murder much.”
“That’s not a bad thing, darling,” Adam reassured, “It just means you’re the only human in a house of monsters.”
Elias smiled and let him up, watching as Adam righted himself. He shivered and rubbed his bare arms, cursing his stupidity for wearing short sleeves.
“Are you cold?”
He scoffed. “No I just like shivering my bloody ass off covered in my mates’ dried blood.”
Adam was amazed when Elias took off his own heavy work shirt and put it over his shoulders. The shirt smelled horrible but fuck was it warm.
“Thank you.”
“You were stupid to wear such revealing clothes in the woods.”
Adam laughed softly. “I will keep it in my mind next time.”
There was a loud yell of “Elias!” and Adam watched Elias flinch.
“You can’t hide here long. Gabriel will hurt you and the others—“
“I don’t know where to run,” Adam confessed, “I have no car and no idea where we even are.”
Elias nodded and stood up, grabbing his rolling pin along the way. He held out his other hand to Adam.
“I know. I will help you.”
Adam considered this being a trick and thought better of it. None of them were clever enough for that.
“What if they try to stop you?”
Elias huffed out a loud breath and he shook his rolling pin.
“I will stop them. I don’t want to do this anymore.”
Adam took his hand and squeezed as he stood. They stared each other down for a moment before he spoke.
“Lead the way.”
Hippity Hoppity
“That is NOT an Easter egg.”
Adam looked at the egg in his hand. He’d drawn pink hearts on it after a white background and put red sparkles. “It’s pastel and it’s decorated. I was unaware there were rules.”
Red is for YOUR holiday. If these are going into a basket they should be my colors.”
“There’s pink.”
“No it must be started over.”
Adam magicked the egg purple and deliberately added red sparkles. “Better?”
Elias glared and his ears twitched. “You did that on purpose.”
He set the egg in Elias’s basket and the rest of the eggs turned the exact same design.
“Oops.”
“Leave! I don’t want you to interfere with my holiday anymore. This was a bad decision based on my libido and I need you to go!”
Adam rolled his eyes. “Your libido ready for the sex we have actively NOT indulged in again after over a month? You mean that libido?”
Elias’s ears and face turned a lovely shade of pink. “I didn’t want to rush into things.”
“We did it for almost twenty four hours the first time. I don’t know what I’ve done to make you afraid to have sex again but my dick is going to shrivel up and fall off if I don’t have sex soon.”
“I…”
“Are you the Easter Bunny?”
They both turned to see a little girl staring at them. Elias turned back and glared at him.
“NOW LOOK WHAT YOU DID!”
Adam snapped his fingers and reset the girl into her bed. “I’ve fixed it. Can you just tell me why you’re not….is it some sort of bunny sex hibernation?”
Elias stood up and pointed to a couch where all the decor appeared along with their finished basket. He stomped off and magicked himself outside.
Adam deliberately made several of the eggs pink and red with hearts before he followed.
“Are you going to tell me?”
“I’ve heard from Uncle Sam that you get bored easily in sex relationships,” Elias mumbled, “I’ve been reading a lot of new ways to have sex in order to…make it exciting.”
Adam smiled and took Elias’s hand. Their string was stark red between them. “I don’t want anyone but you. Boring sex or not.”
Elias blinked. “Oh.”
“And Uncle Sam is shit in bed. He couldn’t even make me cum.”
Elias’s ears twitched and his foot thumped.
“You had many orgasms with me.”
“Yes, Bunny. More than anyone. Now can we move onto the next house and finish this already? I’m desperate for a good fuck.”
Elias grabbed him tight and they blinked out of the front sidewalk though appeared in his own home instead. “I don’t need to go to the houses anymore. I can do it all at home but I’ve never had anything else to do on Easter but go around decorating eggs and giving gifts.”
Adam licked his lips and blinked.
His entire body was now decorated like one of Elias’s eggs. All pastel and no red.
“You can give me a gift and decorate my ass with your…sparkles.”
Elias’s cock was hard between them.
“I love you.”
Adam grinned.
“I love you too, Bunny. Now let’s have some real Easter fun.”
Posted two unfinished Basic Chickens fics to my Patreon. Not going to be finishing them so someone might as well see them.
For the anon prompt I got a few days ago.
*********
It all started with that bloody photo.
Adam hadn’t even meant to look, not really, but the aging album on their table was so out of place he couldn’t help but open to see the inside.
The first couple of photos were babies with a man Adam didn’t know, which was strange, but when he looked closer he saw a familiar lip.
Baby pictures of Elias and his brother.
He smiled and turned more pages, surprised that the book was out at all. They had gone to bed early last night because Elias was going to the doctor in the morning so he clearly remembered cleaning the table off before then.
Had Elias taken these out this morning?
Adam turned more pages and watched Elias and Gabriel grow up before his eyes. Their father clearly favored Elias as most of the pictures were of him which only made the book more adorable. He flipped another page and froze.
“Oh.”
Elias had to be seventeen or even younger in the photo, his baby face quite evident though he still had the same facial hair.
And he was bloody gorgeous.
Adam picked the book up and held it closer to him. He felt for the poor thing, stuck with idiots who couldn’t get beyond one difference to see the beauty Elias had been. He caught so caught up in turning the next few pages and seeing the sad teenage Elias developing he didn’t hear the door.
He did however hear Elias’s sniffles.
Adam looked up and saw he held a bag in his hands and there were tears in his eyes.
“Love, what happened?”
Elias looked down at the book. “That’s not yours.”
“I just was looking, Curly,” he grabbed Elias’s hand, “What’s wrong?”
He wouldn’t look away from the pictures. “I was so handsome.”
“You still are, Darling,” Adam chuckled, “Though I have to say if I’d known you at this age you’d better believe I’d have been all over you.”
Elias clutched the bag tight and his mouth quivered. “I’m sorry.”
Adam stood and reached out to touch him just as Elias flinched away. “Elias?”
it’s totally fine that you may not get to this in a while I just couldn’t get it out of my head, where Adam gets really hurt and is unconscious at the hospital and Elias is there crying/talking to him trying to get Adam to wake up
Adam woke to the sound of sobbing.
He groaned, blinking at the bright light and hearing a voice more familiar to him than his own.
“You’d better not die, do you hear me? I deserve to be in jail, I do, but you can’t die. You can’t die, not before I…”
“Elias?”
The shout and sudden hug made him groan, feeling wet tears on his neck as Elias started crying again.
“You’re alive!”
“What’s happened? I remember coming home from my run, and then…”
Elias tensed, not letting go, and Adam felt sore as fuck but didn’t ask him to.
“You were hurt. We are in the hospital.”
Adam hugged him back, “Yes, Curly, I figured that part out. But how did I…”
Elias let go and Adam fell back onto the bed, wincing at the pain.
“You should’ve been wearing brighter colors! How could I have seen you in that grey clothing!”
Adam closed his eyes, reaching over and pressing for more pain medication as hazy images came back to him.
“You hit me with the car.”
Elias sniffled, “You should’ve told me you were going to go out running, I was heading out for those danish cakes you enjoy.”
Adam smiled, sighing as the memory of Elias staring down into his eyes came unbidden.
“You didn’t know I was gone? The bed was…”
“I thought you were in the kitchen, you make coffee every day! You…”
Adam opened his eyes just as the nurse came into the room. He watched Elias staring at the ground, his face red and eyes bloodshot. The nurse checked his vitals, looking between the two of them and leaving without a word.
“Elias, look at me.”
Elias wouldn’t look up, sniffling and shaking his head.
“Curly…”
“You could’ve died. It was your own fault, but I deserve some of the blame. If you never want to have sex with me again, I deserve that.”
Adam reached out and took his hand, making Elias look up.
“I love you so much.”
Elias’s eyes widened. “Oh. You fell very hard to the ground, you…”
Adam pulled, despite hurting, and Elias came closer instantly. He kissed Elias’s fingers and nuzzled his palm, “I love you, despite you trying to kill me.”
Elias’s lip trembled and tears started to well up in his eyes.
“You lost your pinky toe and it looks quite disgusting, but I love you too.”
Adam burst out laughing before he groaned at the pain, clutching his chest as Elias yelled out for the nurse.
Apparently he needed brighter running clothes.
He’d take Elias with him to be sure the color was good enough for next time.
