Hannigram AU: Friday the 13th

The death of six year old Winnifred “Winnie” Graham is a national headline. Camp Crystal Lake insists her death an accident, that everything had been done and the police find the same findings.

Only her father Will thinks otherwise, draining his life savings and losing his wife over his obsession for those involved to pay for what they did.

Three years pass.

Will is living in and out of motels barely passing through the remainder of his life when a sudden headline brings him back to life again.

CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE TO REOPEN

The ensuing bloodbath that follows is cathartic, a tribute to Winnie and Will weeps when it’s over.

No one is left alive and the police are baffled. That’s why they bring in someone to help.

The first time Hannibal Lecter sees the crime scene he falls in love.

Brutal, angry, and obviously personal he nearly weeps for this man’s pain. He points the police in the wrong direction towards an angry father who was furious that his daughter was going away to school after her summer job.

Garett Jacob Hobbs’s arrest brings forth his other activities and reveals that he’s been killing all along.

Hannibal searches and easily finds the identity of this sad killer: Will Graham. Will himself however is a ghost, barely existing, living in and out of motels though never staying in one place for long.

Except he cannot find Will.

Hannibal’s frustration grows over the course of the next few weeks that turn into years. He almost gives up entirely on the anniversary of the massacre when an idea comes to him.

He will reopen Camp Crystal Lake.

Hannibal held up his hands as the masked figure he was certain had to be Will Graham came toward him.

“Hello, Will.”

Will stopped, his chest movement growing more exaggerated as he stood there staring. He spoke not one word so Hannibal spoke for the both of them.

“My name is Hannibal Lecter and I did this for you.”

The mask was taken off and he was struck by the sight of Will in the flesh. He looked ragged, malnourished, and somewhat disoriented as he looked around the forest.

“For me?”

“I found the counselors and financed the reopening.”

Will turned do look at the body not far from them, a young man with his throat slashed rather crudely.

“Why?”

Hannibal took a step forward and Will gripped the machete in his hand tighter. He stopped moving.

“I want to help you,” he whispered, “You mesmerize me.”

Will scoffed and his hollow laughter seemed to echo through the camp.

“I’m a monster,” he whispered, “They took her and made me a monster.”

Hannibal took another step forward and then kept on going, the lack of fear now between them gone. He laid his hand on Will’s shoulder and they shared a look that sung through his very senses.

“You are not a monster,” he promised and set his other hand on Will’s cheek, “You are a protector, a warrior, a father avenging his child. These spoiled children and rotten people, are lucky to have witnessed your righteous fury before death claimed them.”

Will’s tears began to flow in earnest and Hannibal wanted to lick them from his blood spattered cheeks. He instead kissed just under his eye and felt Will shudder against him.

“I don’t know what to do,” Will confessed, “I—“

Hannibal wrapped his arm around Will’s back and pulled him in closer. He breathed in the rich scent of death and Will’s tears.

“There are more of them,” he assured, “Those who let her die alone in the lake. We will hunt them down and make them pay.”

Will gripped him hard and pressed his nose against Hannibal’s neck.

“Thank you.”

Hannibal smiled. “No Will. Thank you.”
