Finally, a smooch! This is the first time I’m drawing Hannibal and Will (almost) kissing each other, since I’m not a romantic girl and NBC’s Hannibal has a pretty unique, unconventional way to depict the strong bond between the two main characters. By the way, I’m very happy of how this pencil tribute turned out! It’s clearly inspired by the last scene of The Wrath of the Lamb, after their last jump. Anyone interested? The title is an Italian musical term that literally means “flight, escape” and indicates a complex and highly regimented contrapuntal form where a short theme is introduced in one voice (or part) alone, then in others, with imitation and characteristic development as the piece progresses.
